Dr. James C. Hash, Sr. is the Bishop of St. Peter’s World Outreach Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He and his wife Joy currently serve a growing, multi-cultural, multi-racial congregation of more than 3500 members and are aggressively sought after to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ in churches, institutions of higher learning and conferences all over the world. His life and ministry, like the church he oversees, is built on the Word of God and prayer.
Dr. Hash began his ministry in 1977. He graduated from the Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Union Christian Bible Institute in Durham, North Carolina. He received a Bachelor of Theology and a Doctor of Divinity degree from Union Christian Bible Institute in 1993. Under his leadership, the church has gone from a 6,000 square foot facility with a seating capacity of 300, to a 20,000 square foot multi-purpose building, with a seating capacity of more than 1,000., a 65,000 square foot Family Worship Center sanctuary that seats over 3,000, a 73,000 square foot, Family Life Enrichment Center, Heritage House, an independent Senior Living Facility and the “We Care” home that helps feed and clothe the community.
Dr. Hash was born in West Virginia. He and his lovely wife, Joyce, are the proud parents of four children Cherie (Arthur), J.C. Jr. (Malinda), Virginia (Bryan), and Mia (Jason). They are blessed with nine grandchildren.
