Our MISSION is to honor veterans, preserve legacies, and empower them to overcome multifaceted challenges and transform them into meaningful lives through our holistic PASSION and PURPOSE initiative. This initiative fosters interconnected support systems, providing stability and creating a future where veterans, military spouses, and dependents thrive beyond their service. Additionally, we are dedicated to empowering the next generation of youth leaders to invest in tomorrow’s leaders to ensure a brighter future for all.
Our GOAL is to create a resilient community where veterans, military spouses, and their dependents thrive while providing vital assistance to meaningful employment, education, case management, crisis intervention, stable housing, homelessness avoidance, recreational sports activities, access to immediate care, available benefits, and mental well-being support. We’ll achieve this through comprehensive support systems focusing on suicide prevention efforts, family and youth engagement programs, legacy preservation, policy advocacy, collaboration, and continuous evaluation, ensuring a lasting positive impact for all.

The birth of the American Veterans Ball was ignited by a group of retired and separated armed forces service veterans in Stafford, VA.
The American Veterans Ball was created on (Veterans Day) November 11, 2014.
The American Veterans Ball was birth at a local restaurant called Applebees located in Stafford, VA while the core group enjoyed a free meal and swapped memorable experiences on Veterans Day in recognition of their patriotism and service to their country.
AVB was initially created to provide “ALL” veterans of the “Armed Forces” with the opportunity to participate in an annual service ball similar to our active service components. The most common denominator we’ve discovered among transitioned veterans was that once they were discharged from their respective branches, they experienced an immediate disconnection from these traditional events and comradeship. Yet, despite this disconnection, many veterans still find themselves living out their core values with purpose as civilians while serving their communities and contributing to the greater good as a way of life. Whether in or out of the uniform, we believe that an event such as the AVB creates that pathway to reignite, connect with, and maintain our patriotism with our fellow brothers and sisters through this unique event for years to come. As LEADERS, we were taught to identify gaps, fill the void, bridge the gap, AND accomplish the mission. “SO WE DID,” resulting in the birth of the American Veterans Ball (AVB) – Where PASSION meets PURPOSE.
